Happy Birthday to you...

Wow, I am not sure how this happened so quickly. Our incredible little boy turned one on the 1st. He had a great party, and we all enjoyed watching the demise of the "tractor wheel."

Before:

I do my little turn on the catwalk...

These were just too darn cute to not share. Nicholas decided to do a little spontaneous modeling for the camera. He does love that flash....

Leaf Collection

It's great to have big trees in our yard, but this time of year they attack. Nicholas is thrilled with this as it creates excuses for tractor rides. I'm not sure anything excites the Little Boy more than that garage opening for a tractor to come out...

Holloween 2007 :)

Nicholas decided that he needed to make the rounds to show off his Buzzy Style...

After a brief visit downtown to say hi to Aunt Kate, he headed up to visit Grandma and Grandpa...

After getting home, he decided to quick-change into his stuntman costume and greet our Holloween visitors.

Camping at the Beach

Since we were going to be up north anyway, we decided to take a late season camping trip to the beach. Other than being a bit chilly at night, we were rewarded with fantastic weather at Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan.

Nicholas loved bundling up and watching the fire. Here he gives his casual wave of cuteness for the camera :)

The next day led to hours on the beach. After a Mother/Son nap on the beach, things got active. Nicholas decided to take off and explore the sand. I'm not sure I can come up with something cuter than this picture to say, so it stands alone....

Back to Farming

Ok, I know it is a little early for pumpkins, but we couldn't resist this shot. I think Nicholas is growing faster than the pumpkin though these days...

McCormick's Creek

We can admit it, life has been quite hectic for the little man lately. He has been shuffled from place to place, exploring as he goes. It's time for a little catch up for the rest of the world.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and Nicholas decided we needed to take a road trip. About an hour down the road, we drove into McCormick's Creek State Park. After hauling a tushy down a whole bunch of stairs, we made it to the creek and waterfall. Here we see Nicholas and his total lack of fear standing in the creek and observing the world around.

The Great Escape

Well, we think we may have a problem... This is how the big boy was found today after his morning nap:

Yes, that's right, he can pull himself up all on his own now. And he knows it...

Apparently if you don't act quick enough, he is now prepared to get out on his own :). Big trouble!

State Fair Time

We were very excited this year to share a family tradition of visiting the Indiana State Fair with Nicholas. He went last year, but I am not sure how good the view was in there :) This year, however, he got into the action....

He got to ride a tractor...

Tried to pet a cow...

And got way too excited about the Milk Shake-Up Party!

Fast Food

Ok, I know it doesn't look like much. But, Nicholas has officially had his first fast food. Momma ground up a Fettuccine Alfredo kids meal from Fazoli's and there you have it. Proving once again that this kid will eat absolutely anything. And if you were wondering, he loved it and there was not enough of it. So, please send more Fettuccine, he is wasting away to nothing :)

Bath Time

Well, the big boy is combining some of his favorite things these days in the bath. He absolutely loves the water (hot, cold, pool, or bath) and can spend all day in it. Now that he can sit up and crawl (-ish) on his own bath time is becoming quite active.
